Arezoo Najibzadeh

Short Biography

Arezoo Najibzadeh is a transformative leader in Canada’s nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, with more than a decade of experience advancing gender equity, racial justice, and systemic change.

As the Co-Founder of A+ Projects, she works across sectors to develop strategies and partnerships rooted in climate justice and rights-holder engagement, with a particular focus on Northern and Indigenous communities. As the Founder of the Auntie Fund, a grassroots giving circle directing flexible, trust-based funding to communities facing persisting and emerging issues in Canada.

Arezoo previously held senior roles at Oxfam Canada and Platform, a nonprofit organization she also Founded, where she led national and international public engagement programs and campaigns aimed at advancing gender justice.

As a life-long learner, she is multilingual and is currently studying Portuguese at the University of Toronto. She is a sought-after speaker and coach who has appeared before the Parliament of Canada, the World Democracy Forum at the Council of Europe, and Platform Women Convention in Washington, DC. When she’s not changing the world, Arezoo can be found breaking a sweat at the gym or finding her flow in a hot yoga class.
